Yes! We’ll take you through all the essential maintenance steps until you’re fully comfortable.

​How often will I need to have refit and clean my system?2020-05-05T18:35:04+01:00

The average service and maintenance cycle is two to four weeks. Depending on your lifestyle and personal preferences, you may want to get a service sooner than two weeks or later than four weeks, however we do not recommend going further than six weeks without refreshing your bond.

Will I be able to use the shower or go swimming?2020-05-05T18:34:48+01:00

​Yes, all our systems can be exposed to water without any problems. The bond is waterproof and you can treat it just like normal hair in the shower. However, if your lifestyle requires you to spend a lot of time with your head wet, ask us for some specialist advice.

​This will depend on the system you choose, your lifestyle and how you look after it.

A lace system can last between four and six months depending on how it’s looked after.

We have more fragile (i.e. Ultra Thin Skin) hair systems that, although they have an incredible level of realism, due the their fragility will need to be changed after one or two months.

Why choose a hair system instead of a hair transplant?2020-05-05T18:34:17+01:00

​Hair transplants have been around for a long time, but they come with some serious risks including allergic reaction to anaesthesia, bleeding or infection, itchiness and even scars that may be raised or reddened. Some people experience nerve damage, permanent loss of sensation or death of the grafts.

The results are not guaranteed and extremely expensive even if done properly, and there is no guarantee of positive results.

Another important thing to note is that you can only achieve a density of about 50% with a hair transplant while hair systems will give you any desired density between 70% and 130%. Our systems are harmless to your head and scalp and ensure a thick. healthy looking head of hair risk-free and forever.

Will I be able to style and use a hairdryer with my system?2020-05-05T18:33:59+01:00

Yes you will! You can treat and style your hair system just like you would with normal hair. Water and oil base products are preferable as they’re less damaging for the hair but as long as you wash your hair thoroughly, any products will work.

What ongoing help and advice will there be if I need assistance?2022-07-10T12:44:14+01:00

​There are several products we can use for sensitive skin. We can discuss before fitting and during your consultation.

Will the colour of my hair system fade?2020-05-05T18:33:18+01:00

All Hair Systems will fade slightly in time due to natural sunlight. However, the quality of the hair used will make fading less then a lower grade system.
